On Wednesday, May 23rd, Studio Movie Grill and the Dallas Comedy House teamed up with Poo-Pourri and Comedy Dynamics for the exclusive Dallas premiere of Aaron Feldman’s funny documentary, THE POOP TALK MOVIE. Comedians and the film’s producers (who also make an appearance in the film), Jason and Randy Sklar were on hand to talk about the making of the film and then made a special appearance at the after party and comedy show at the Dallas Comedy House to add their patented wry and offbeat humor to the proceedings to the thrill of the standing room only crowd.

FILM FESTIVAL NEWS: Chanda Chevannes’s UNFRACTURED leads EarthxFilm 2018; shows substantial growth and gives out big money to filmmakers and environmental organizations in their second year on the planet

EarthxFilm, presented by EarthX, reported that the growth of the environmentally focused film festival in their 2nd year, included a 65% increase in attendance from the first year. The festival wrapped things up on Sunday, April 22, by handing out the first awards ever presented by the fest, including cash prizes totaling $37,000.

FILM FESTIVAL NEWS: Spanish actor Assumpta Serna makes an impression in Dallas at the USA Film Festival

Thursday, April 26 and Friday, April 27, internationally acclaimed actor, Assumpta Serna came to Dallas, Texas to appear with her film THE NETWORK OF FREEDOM (Red de Libertad) at the USA Film Festival. The film, in the early stages of its film festival run, played to a standing room only house, and Serna charmed the press during appearances over the two days and the evening’s audience on Friday night.

Call for Entries open May 1, 2018, for the 2019 Oxford Film Festival, taking place in Oxford, Mississippi, February 6-9, 2019. The 16th edition of the festival will include the return of OFF’s screenplay competition with cash prizes, as well as a reduced submission fee incentive for female filmmakers.
