Dallas and North Texas Film Fests Name Their Top Ten Films of 2020

The heads of prominent Dallas and North Texas Film Festivals announced their selections for the Top Ten Films of 2020 today with David Fincher’s MANK, Eliza Hitman’s NEVER RARELY SOMETIMES ALWAYS, and Spike Lee’s’ DA 5 BLOODS taking the top three spots among films released in 2020.

Bart Weiss (Founder and Director, Dallas Video Fest) revealed the Top 5 films on WFAA’s Midday on 8 broadcast.

The films were chosen by representatives of Dallas and North Texas-based film festivals, including Weiss, David Holbrooke (Artistic Director, EarthxFilm), Jitin Hingorani (Founder and Festival Director, DFW South Asian Film Festival), Linda Eaddy (Director of Film Programming, Denton Black Film Festival), Tommy Schubert (Festival Liaison & On-Site Operations,, Asian Film Festival of Dallas), Maverick Moore (Programmer, Deep in the Heart FF), Bill Haas (Director, Fort Worth Indie Film Showcase), Susan Kandell (Program Director, 3 Stars Jewish Cinema), James Faust (Artistic Director, Dallas International Film Festival), Alex Garcia Topete (Director of Programming, Festival de Cine Latino Americano), and Raquel Chapa (Marketing Director, Dallas Video Fest).
