North Texas Film Critics Association announces 2024 awards, with ANORA taking two, including Best Film and Best Actress

The North Texas Film Critics Association (NTFCA) announced the winners in each of the organization’s 13 voting categories for 2024 with ANORA.

Anora won Best Picture, but on the heels of that win were both Sing Sing and Dune Part 2, both tied very closely for second place. Anora also saw a win in the Best Actress category with Mikey Madison.

Sing Sing’s Colman Domingo was only a few votes short to win in the Best Actor category but Adrien Brody, The Brutalist was alongside him. Both lost to Timothée Chalamet for his performance in A Complete Unknown.

There was a tie for Best Foreign Language Film with both The Seed of the Sacred Fig (Germany) and Flow (Latvia) winning in that category. Flow was also very popular in the Animated Film category, but did not take the lead from The Wild Robot.

Also worth mentioning, the GARY MURRAY AWARD (Best Ensemble), Saturday Night took that win. Conclave and Sing Sing were also recognized by the members with the latter film standing out since a number of the movie roles were men playing themselves, based on a true story.
