Slamdance Film Festival
Filmmakers who first presented their work at the festival are now amongst the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Alumni include Sean Baker (Anora), Jon M. Chu (Wicked) Rian Johnson (Knives Out), Ari Aster (Midsommar), The Russo Brothers (Avengers: Endgame), Bong Joon Ho (Parasite), Lena Dunham (Girls), Steven Soderbergh (Traffic) and Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer). The Slamdance Film Festival is a showcase for raw and innovative filmmaking that lives and bleeds by its mantra: By Filmmakers, For Filmmakers. Thirty-two years strong, Slamdance has created a track record for showcasing breakthrough artists that is beyond dispute.
The Slamdance Film Festival accepts films in every genre, on any topic, from every country around the world. We spotlight low-budget Narrative and Documentary Features by first-time directors, Breakout Features from non-first time directors, Unstoppable (shorts & features) highlighting filmmakers/films with/about disability, short films across genres, and episodes. Additionally we accept a vast variety of projects through our Digital, Interactive and Gaming category (DIG). We do not disqualify any films based on premiere status or date of completion. It is an Academy Award, BAFTA and Canadian Screen Award qualifying competition.
The festival program is selected entirely from our submissions pool. 200+ Slamdance alumni filmmakers are responsible for the programming of the festival, with no individual filmmaker’s vote valued more than any other and every film being treated equally. We continue to embrace the DIY spirit and champion the bleeding-edge of contemporary filmmaking.

London Film Week
London Film Week is a film festival taking place in the very heart of London from 3 — 7 December 2025.
The aim of the Festival is to raise awareness and promote the various aspects of international cinema in all its forms. Projects are accepted from British, European and Worldwide territories.
We work all year round to re-imagine the cinematic experience and explore how art can unite communities. There is no greater satisfaction than delivering a Premium Festival to the audience, to film professionals, and to our partners. Our goal is to meet and exceed everyone’s expectations.
Those who have been honoured at the last three festivals include actors and directors such as Armando Iannucci, Noah Baumbach, Wash Westmoreland, Martin Scorsese, Takashi Miike, Céline Sciamma, Keira Knightley, Dominic West, Yolande Zauberman, Lee Chang-dong, Gilles Lellouche, Mathieu Amalric, Dev Patel, Tilda Swinton, Guillaume Canet, Cagla Zencirci, Guillaume Giovanetti, Damla Sönmez amongst others.
LFW has a different approach to other festivals, with only a handful of films and artists being presented during the first week of December, in order to put every selected project in the spotlight in the best possible way.

Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation, Technology
Portland Festival of Cinema, Animation & Technology (PFCAT) embraces cutting-edge technology and its role in modern filmmaking. We are looking for amazing new films and animated works and the visionary voices behind them. The event takes place at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), home to the Empirical Theater, which is a 300 seat IMAX. OMSI was recognized as the #1 Science Museum by Newsweek Readers Choice.
In addition to 170+ film screenings in two theaters and our annual award ceremony, the festival includes various parties, networking events, panel discussions, and dome film screenings in the Kendall Planetarium.
PFCAT is open to a wide variety of films and animated projects. In fact, many of our official selections and award winners do not have technology as a main point of focus. The “technology” part of the festival’s name also refers to the cutting-edge tech we incorporate in festival screenings and at the event itself, such as virtual reality and augmented reality. For example, audience members can vote on the audience choice awards using a custom augmented reality app designed for the festival.
Jury members and panelists include many of today’s top industry professionals including numerous Academy Award Winners and nominees, and Emmy Award Winners. Attendees frequently note that PFCAT is excellent for networking with many filmmakers returning year after year even when they don’t have a film in the PFCAT line-up.
