San Pedro International Film Festival announces film lineup for return in February

SPIFF Festival Director Ziggy Mrkich, said, “It will be wonderful to be back in theaters, bringing films and filmmakers back to San Pedro to the Historic Warner Grand Theatre, and the Terrace Cinemas, and more. The San Pedro International Film Festival celebrates truly independent films, and the film artists that put their lives into making them. Allison’s videos of their encounters caught the imagination of people around the world, the press couldn’t get enough of progress reports and updates on Honk’s journey thanks to Allison’s publicizing his plight. So, prior to the film’s official film festival debut, Bart Weiss’ Dallas Video Fest hosted a special sneak preview screening.

John Stimpson’s GHOST LIGHT Opened 2019 Oxford Film Festival: Community Night, NEGRO TERROR, Roger Bart

The 2019 Oxford Film Festival began with a Community Night screening of locally made films and then a special concert by documentary subjects Negro Terror to kick things off on Wednesday, February 6. The next night, John Stimpson’s GHOST LIGHT officially opened the fest with a screening (and special presentation of the Lisa Blount Memorial Acting Award to Roger Bart, one of the film’s stars) at the wonderful Gertrude Ford Performing Arts Center.
