Here is the next round of films I watched up in Park City that I can recall at 5:00AM as I wake up with a “Sundance Cough.” Unhappy.
These are also films I was required to watch as homework for The Daily Buzz radio show for NPR’s KCPW Park City Station.
And, as you can see, we were fortunate to have two of the big winners at Slamdance (STRAD STYLE and DIM THE FLUORESCENTS), as well as three of my favorites at the fest (GOOK, 78/52, CORTEZ) in the mix.
You’ll notice there are no big “movie star” films here.
That is because their publicists’ don’t quite see the value of smart film talk over large media outlets. The Daily Buzz will get there as we continue to add stations and sponsors for what has grown into a very entertaining, sometimes provocative, show, that balances a lot of talk about the actual art and skill of filmmaking, as opposed to celebrity navel-gazing.
