Andrew Bujalski’s SUPPORT THE GIRLS : TEN MOST RECENT FILMS WATCHED – The Pre-“End of the Year Catching Up Dash” List of Films from Films Gone Wild
Before I binge watch something like a dozen films in four or five days before I make my contribution to a Dallas film fest collective’s “Best of 2018” list, here are the last ten films I’ve watched, with Andrew Bujalski’s SUPPORT THE GIRLS among them.
It’s pretty random (as is typical with me) inspired by thoughts of “Have I seen the director’s cut?” (WATCHMEN), or “That’s a classic screwball comedy I’ve never actually seen..” (THE AWFUL TRUTH), to Nic Roeg dying (PERFORMANCE), finding a film at the theater that my wife and I could both agree on (THE FRONT RUNNER), re-watching a favorite documentary of mine (DEPALMA), being at a theater and asking which film is literally in previews right now so I can immediately see it without waiting a half hour (THE FAVOURITE), to checking out a film that a lot of friends spoke highly of (THE DEATH OF STALIN).
