Kristina Klebe’s intense psychological suspense drama Noxturne also happened to be a very “New York” production – both in look and style, but alos in real production terms. So, it made a lot of sense for the (already) critically acclaimed film to choose the Big Apple Film Festival for its world premiere screening. Supported by cast and crew and friends and family, who all came out to the East Village Angelika, Klebe and producer co-star, Byron Clohessy held court and held their breath for the first big screen looks at the film.
And the response was all that the filmmakers could have hoped for. Comparisons to Polansky’s The Sentinel, and Argento’s Suspiria were overheard post-screening, as attendees mingled and talked up the film. This was Noxturne‘s debut on the film festival circuit and quite a way to kick it off.
