We sat down with the Ric Serena (DIR), and Jen Serena (PROD) to talk about the short film DROP OFF, which screened recently at the Naples International Film Festival as one of the Opening Night Gala selections
THE SYNOPSIS: A couple unravels as parenting takes its toll, leading to a debate about unloading their children at a nearby fire station.

WHAT DID WE TALK ABOUT: Ric and Jen talk about working with the Purdy filmmaking family and literally having them in mind as he wrote the script. They discuss how the Purdys allowed them to shoot incredibly quickly due to the shorthand they all have as performers and filmmakers. Jen discusses how DROP OFF was a product of the desire to continue producing work consistently. Ric talks about how his background as an editor influences how he constructs shots, as well as how he embraces the “happy accidents”.
